Vijay Mallya gets high with football

The latest Indian industrialist to be bitten by the World Cup bug is none other than flamboyant Kingfisher chairman and parliamentarian Vijay Mallya.

“Must admit…d real football bug has bitten me now ! So am going 2 get activated seriously on Kingfisher East Bengal n McDowell Mohun Bagan,” said Mallya on his twitter page.

The business magnate goes on to say that he hoped to see Indian football at the global scene. If this is one politician we have been waiting for ages to raise the standard of football in India, fans would love to see him to be the next Sharad Pawar!

Mallya who is one of the busiest business-politician is also saddened by the fact that he is not in South Africa while some of his colleagues and Indian football association officials are enjoying the extravaganza.

“High profile Industrialists, football fans n AIFF delegates going 2 South Africa (except me !!)Hope they r motivated 2 boost Indian football,” Mallya said.
