It’s back to showbiz for recently married Penelope Cruz. The actress will be playing Angelica, daughter of the evil Pirate Blackbeard in Pirates of the Caribbean 4.

(Scroll down to watch the teaser by none other than ‘Captain Jack Sparrow’ Depp)

Few clues have been given about the film’s plot, although Depp, in Captain Jack Sparrow’s battered leathers, boots, bandanna and dreadlocked wig, was seen being blindfolded on the set as he prepared for a scene.

The action will follow Angelica as she forces Sparrow aboard Blackbeard’s ship the Queen Anne’s Revenge.

Earlier in June 2010, Disney had tipped fans about the plot of the fouth edition Captain Sparrow’s adventure as:

In this action-packed tale of truth, betrayal, youth and demise, Captain Jack Sparrow crosses paths with a woman from his past (Penelope Cruz), and he’s not sure if it’s love–or if she’s a ruthless con artist who’s using him to find the fabled Fountain of Youth. When she forces him aboard the Queen Anne’s Revenge, the ship of the formidable pirate Blackbeard (Ian McShane), Jack finds himself on an unexpected adventure in which he doesn’t know who to fear more: Blackbeard or the woman from his past.
