Aizawl: Transport Minister, Mr. P C Zoramsangliana said, drivers are an important creator of Mizoram’s image.
Addressing Driver Association joint meeting in Chaltlang on July 28, the Minister asked the drivers to be polite and honest while performing their duties.
He also underlined the need for enactment of proper labour law for the benefit of the drivers.
The joint meeting asked the government to involve the Drivers Association in the awareness campaign to be organized in connection with the Road Safety Week.
The meeting was chaired by MPCC Driver Welfare Committee President, Mr. B. Vanngura.
