Dhoni, Sakshi new honeymoon destinations

New Delhi: Since their hush-hush engagement and “sudden” marriage Indian cricket captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and wife Sakshi Rawat are being tipped by the media that they would choose New Zealand as their honeymoon destination.

However, the couple seems to be in no hurry as is evident from their tight schedule. Sources close to the couple have said that contrary to media speculations the two “might go to the Mauritius, Switzerland or Hawaii”.

Earlier, mainstream media reports said that the “couple have been invited by New Zealand officials to spent their honeymoon in Queenstown, which provides the perfect setting for a romantic holiday”.

Sometime in 2009 Dhoni had said, “New Zealand is one of the most beautiful places, where people are friendly and warm. It’s definitely a place you want to visit once in a lifetime… if not for cricket, then may be a honeymoon. Whatever it is, take some time off and come to New Zealand.”

Then why this rumours? “It could be due to security situation. I think they will finally settle for Switzerland as it is one of Sakshi’s favourite destinations,” the source said refusing to be identified.

Switzerland has been the favourite for most Bollywood stars for its scenic beauty and also for its filmi connections. Romantic hits like the Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol starred Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge has immortalized this holiday spot for most newly wedded Indian couples.

For now, it looks like the newly married couple has their hands full. Three more destinations have been just added to list and it won’t be surprising anymore even if there is a fourth or even a sixth.
