18 Air Rifles seized in Mizoram

Aizawl: In a joint operation, Mizoram Police and BSF, G Branch seized 12 QB 18 Air Riffles of Chinese make in Chhinga Veng on July 27 night.
The owner of the rifles Biakthansanga of West Phaileng has been arrested.
The Air Rifles and the accused were handed over to Customs for booking under the law.
Police officer said, licence is not required for possession of the Air Rifles however the air guns are brought from foreign country without clearing Custom duty.
