Bangalore: The Art of Living (AoL) founder and guru Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s staff said yesterday that they have been getting extortion SMSes from an unidentified person.
The staff claimed that the unknown person had demanded Rs 42 crore from the guru, failing which they theatened to defame the organisation..
Gireem Govind, AoL spokesperson and secretary to Sri Sri Ravishankar told media persons that they had ignored the SMSes for the past three days but finally filed a complaint with the police.
Police have been given the mobile numbers from where the SMSes were sent and investigation is on to trace the culprits.
A few weeks back there was a firing incident at the AoL ashram which the police claimed was a misfired by a farm owner in the nearby areas.
