SMS scam messages reach Mizoram
Beware!
SMS scams have reached the hilly state of Mizoram.
Reports reaching MizoramExpress.com said that these SMSes promise either get-rich-quick schemes or winning some lotteries in far of land such as England.
One SMS from the scamster reads: Your SIM card no.won our 2010 Pacific West BMW Promo for cash Prize of 750,000GBP and car, Plz contact Mr. elie Clegg +448713154354, Email: elieclegg@hotmail.com.”
“I got an SMS which promises me a good return if I contacted the person. Please check it out for me,” one was quoted as saying by sources.
Others who have received the same SMS also called up to verify whether they have really won such a big amount. On telling them that this is just another scam to rob people of their hard-earned money, many of them found it hard to believe that it’s a fraudulent scheme.
It may be noted that last year Nagaland police had arrested three Nigerians for sending out such SMSes to lure innocent people to their evil game.

hello sir i have received the same message informing that i have won the price amount of 750000gbp and a car from a person calling himself sir elie clegg. I am not getting that is the information correct or not as an agent named Ramson Bill from Mumbai with cell phone no.09967818387 is asking me to send a sum of amount of Rs.500 through an account.
His account details is:
Name:Zothan Kimi
A/C no. 20036319120, State bank of India.
Please guide me wat should i do????????
@Gunja, Please avoid such schemes. The best option is to report to the police and check out the authenticity of the price. As per information available with us, this scheme is a fraud. We have received the same Pacific Lottery offer in our email.
