Doctors use iPad in surgery

As iPad mania grips the world, fans are coming up with some surprising uses for the device. In Japan, where stores began selling the tablet in late May, a magician has incorporated the device into his act and uses it to produce illusions and sleight-of-hand tricks.

As it turns out, the iPad can also be used to save lives.

A team of doctors at a hospital run by Japan’s Kobe University has used the iPad as a display during a surgical procedure.

In the video below, the iPad is wrapped in plastic and is being used by the doctors as a display that allows them to zoom in and out during the operation.
