Congratulations Dr B Lalremruata!! And great work Mizoram Express in publishing this news! Recognizing achievements that really matter is what we need to continue to encourage. This certainly is an achievement worth celebrating and I am sure celebrations are on in relevant circles. The Mizo diaspora no matter how small is going to play a very important role in generating greater and greater awareness on the need to emphasize progressive growth. Knowledge in various academic disciplines and various areas of life (whether obtained outside the state or within the state) will continue to accumulate however this will need to be shared and utilized effectively for the public at large to benefit from it. We must learn to find systematic ways of capturing information and learnings and disseminate them to relevant target groups, through write ups, presentations, and/or intelligent well planned interviews etc. It would be great if Dr B Lalremruata for instance could share ways in which interested young promising academics can follow his footsteps. Sharing of such best practices or learnings will make us more efficient in whatever walk of life we choose to pursue as a people. Improvement in the quality of life for each individual Mizo will be achieved by the inspiring acts of those who endeavour to create a better world.

People are very very cynical in Mizoram. Doing or talking serious topics is not there. They discuss only in secret not speak about things openly for development. No concern for future. Very very closed people. No use. Don't waste your time.

I agree with Phoenix. Studied at a University where Mizo students used to remain only with themselves. Do not interact with others and appeared to be extremely clannish. Naga people from NE are more interactive and friendly.

Mizos are like the Malayalis. they speak only in mizo and sleep with only mizos :)
