Aizawl Master Plan Vision 2030 meet held

Aizawl: Consultation on Aizawl Master Plan Vision-2030 was held in Agriculture Conference Hall on May 20.
Inaugurating the meeting, the Chief Secretary, Mr. Vanhela Pachuau underlined the need for proper plan for expansion of Aizawl town.
He also thanked the ADA and the IIT, Kharagpur for formulating the Draft Plan. Representatives of IIT Kharagpur highlighted the main feature of the Master Plan and this was followed by discussion.
About 60 intellectuals including leaders of NGOs and Churches participated in the discussion. Many of them were of the view that not less than 4 Satellite township around Aizawl can be set up to ease the present congestion in the town.
This is the first consultation ever held in connection with drafting of the Master Plan and the discussion was presided over by the Vice President of ADA, Mr. Lalfakzuala.
