Blast kills two in Mizoram
Aizawl: Two people, husband and wife, were killed in a bomb blast in Selling village day before yesterday, police said.
“The couple were torn into pieces by a bomb blast in their residence. Some parts of the bodies of the husband Vanlalhnema and his wife Ramnunmawii were scattered inside the house,” Zonet reports said.
However, their couple’s son, aged 2, who was also inside the house sustained no injury.
Bawngkawn Police and Forensic experts rushed to the spot and collected materials to help them in investigate the incident.
Pi Seni, the mother of the Ramnunmawii said that there was no altercation between the couple and both of them were preparing the morning meal in the kitchen when the bomb went off.
Sources said that the bomb was a a gelatin stick used for catching fish. Police are yet to verify the actual nature of the bomb.
