Mizo Society formed in Yangon

Yangon, Jan 22, 2010: Several Zo tribes in the Mynamar capital came together to form a single Yangon Mizo Society on January 7.

The Zochi and HLCA (Hualngo) tribes signed a pact here to bring together a “sense of unity”. Around 51 representatives were there to witness the event.

“Our leaders are all from the religious field. But they are elected by the people,” says a member who attended the meet.

The OB for 2010 are:

Chairman – Rev. Dr. Lalsawithanga
Vice Chairman – Rev. Hrangzuia
Secretary – Upa Ralkapthanga
Asst. Secretary – Rev. Chuangsangvunga
Treasurers – Upa Zakhuma & Rev. Lalmuana
Auditors – Pu Lalropianga & Rev. H. Vanlalchawia
