A ‘New Art’

Centuries ago, in a village in mainland China, a peasant woman went to fetch some water; at the stream she witnessed a fight between a tiger and a large bird. With a keen sense of observation she witnessed the fight. According to the story both the animals died.

After the fight she went home late in the evening, and when her husband finally found his wife he tried to hit her for taking so long. But she dodged the blows using the techniques (of the bird) she observed in the fight; her husband finally gave up and curiously asked her about her new skill, she told him about her experience during the day then she taught her husband the new art, thus, a new form of  kung fu style was born and is practiced till today in China and all over the world.

Therefore it is not always that the physically strong will win, to win in any situation we need agility, awareness, patience and a strong will power. All discoveries and inventions of the world were made because the inventors thought a little different from you and me. They were curious, asked questions in their mind, and carefully observed what’s happening around them.

So now it’s your turn to bring about a new revolution, to make new discoveries and help yourself and others; we can start with little and small things, starting from our studies, for example we know that a chemical mixture of hydrogen and oxygen makes water (H2O), but I guess many of us never asked why and how, we just learnt it because it’s there in the book. We must also try to remember things, faces, places and the things happening around us than just dozing away in one of our useless day dreams. Surely it will be of some help someday in the near future. The ability to have a keen observation must be cultivated in our daily life, such is the quality of a true warrior. And finally having faith in the Lord is one thing that we must never let go of, God has given each and everyone of us good abilities and a reasoning mind, so let us make use of that gift; with the power of the one true God, everything is possible.
